I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor who works with adults, youth, and couples, both in person and virtually. I believe that people are far more than the problems that bring them to therapy. My goal is to create a space where you can slow things down, feel heard, and explore what is happening in your life without judgement. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, grief, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I want our work to be guided by what matters to you.
My Approach
My approach to counselling is person-centred, collaborative, and flexible. I don’t believe there is one way of doing therapy that works for everyone, so I draw from different approaches depending on what you need and what feels useful. My training includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Gottman Method interventions, mindfulness, and narrative approaches.
I see therapy as a collaborative process rather than something where I tell you what you should do. I will bring knowledge, experience, and perspective to our work, while you remain the person who knows your own life best. Together, we can work toward understanding patterns, making changes, strengthening relationships, and finding ways forward that feel right for you.
My Background
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminology. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
My clinical training included working with adults, youth, and couples in both in-person and virtual settings. I have experience supporting people with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, self-esteem, life transitions, OCD symptoms, and 2SLGBTQ+ concerns. My work has included assessment, collaborative treatment planning, suicide risk assessment and safety planning, referrals, and working alongside other professionals when needed.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent more than 18 years working in community services, healthcare, education, hospitality, and leadership roles. Those experiences gave me a strong foundation in communication, relationship-building, and working with people from many different backgrounds and circumstances. I continue to bring those experiences into my work as a counsellor.
